The danger of a single story

When you have a single story you rely on one topic that you've got for some thing place or person.Some people think just based on someones skin that there all like that and none are different form eachother.One single story in my community that I have heard about is that mexicans can not swim.That is not true and I know that because I can swim very good.I think a great way to change peoples minds is books.I have heard people say that white people cant jump.I heard this story when I was at a resterant.If I did not know that story was not trueI could have read books.All differant people working as a team.
